After being purchased by a New York investment group last year, the Brook Highland Place apartments on U.S. 280 are getting a face lift.

According to the Shelby County Reporter, property owner Dasmen Residential has already completed renovations on some apartments and the Lakeside clubhouse. The property recently added a fitness center, business center and convenience store, with plans to renovate the Parkside clubhouse, and add a new laundry room, fitness center, child play center and package retrieving system. The company also has added a walking path around the lake, new pool furniture and a fenced in dog park.

Brook Highland Place, located at 1 Meadow Drive, consists of 25 two- and three-floor buildings. The property was built in 1986 and renovated in 2008. The apartment community is off Brook Highland Parkway not far from Brook Highland Plaza shopping center.

“Our goal is to give our current and future residents a great place to call home,” Dasmen Residential CEO Michael Katz told the BBJ last year. “We want them to feel the live, work, and play atmosphere and appreciate they have a new ownership that is committed to this asset for the long term.”
